Position SummaryThe Manufacturing Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our production equipment and facility systems. This hands-on role performs routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous production of our frozen products.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems for manufacturing and packaging equipment.
- Perform daily inspections and preventive maintenance per established schedules.
- Quickly diagnose mechanical issues to reduce equipment downtime and maintain product quality.
- Collaborate with production teams to support machine set-ups, changeovers, and calibrations.
- Use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to log work orders and equipment history.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with GMP, OSHA, and food safety standards.
- Support facility maintenance, including HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and general building systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support capital projects as needed.
- High school diploma or GED required. Technical certification or trade school preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or food production maintenance role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with proven ability to work with tools, machinery, and mechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, valves, compressors, and hydraulic systems.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting and knowledge of PLC-controlled systems a plus.
- Must be comfortable working around food-grade environments, with strict cleanliness and safety protocols.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Requires standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods.
- Ability to work in cold and/or wet environments typical of frozen food manufacturing.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as needed.
