Position Overview
The Lead Technician at PuroClean of Pasadena is responsible for leading and managing field operations related to emergency property restoration services, including water mitigation, fire and smoke restoration, mold remediation, and biohazard cleanup.
This role serves as the on-site leader, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards while delivering exceptional customer service. The Lead Technician works directly with customers, insurance partners, and team members, and plays a key role in training, mentoring, and developing technicians in the field.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of field experience in property restoration OR equivalent industry experience
- IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) Certification – REQUIRED
- One or more of the following certifications preferred:
- IICRC Fire & Smoke Restoration Technician (FSRT)
- IICRC Applied Structural Drying (ASD)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple jobs and priorities effectively
Essential Job Functions
The Lead Technician is responsible for:
- Clearly explaining the restoration process to customers and providing regular updates to customers, insurance partners, and centers of influence.
- Assessing job severity, scope of work, and extent of damages at residential and commercial job sites.
- Utilizing and promoting company operational systems, including:
- Company CRM
- Xactimate
- MICA
- Training, supervising, and mentoring Technicians on job-specific responsibilities and best practices.
- Maintaining a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor at all times.
- Must wear company-provided uniform and PPE as required.
- Fostering a strong One Team culture among field staff and office personnel.
Specific Responsibilities
The Lead Technician will:
- Adhere to all OSHA, EPA, and company safety policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of and adherence to the following restoration procedures:
- Water Damage Restoration
- Mold Remediation Equipment and Procedures
- Fire and Smoke Cleaning Tools and Techniques
- Carpet Cleaning Equipment and Procedures
- Exhibit a proactive, team-oriented, "can-do" attitude while delivering high-quality customer service.
- Accurately complete all required documentation, job notes, and reports.
- Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean, organized, and serviceable condition at all times.
- Participate in an on-call rotation and be available for emergency response as required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
- Ability to work for extended periods in both large and confined spaces
- Ability to wear respirators and other PPE for extended periods
- Must pass respirator fit testing and required medical evaluations per OSHA guidelines
Pay: $ $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
