Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist SLP

We are seeking a fun, passionate, experienced and knowledgable pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. Current opening in small private clinic. Part time case load already established with option to increase hours from waitlist. Flexibility on days of the week and start/end time. SLP will take over small caseload and new evaluations. Therapy and testing materials will be made available but welcome to use your own. Pediatric therapy experience in the field required. Must have current Florida DOH license and CCCs. Active medicaid number strongly preferred but not required (however, may impact start date). Must be able to pass background check. SLP will evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, AAC, pragmatic, and fluency disorders. Candidate must be a self starter, organized, have good communication skills, and work well with a team. Start date is as soon as possible but will depend on how fast paper work is submitted and credentialing with insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Develop therapy and treatment plans for speech/language disorders
• Implement standardized tests for accurate diagnosis of communication disorders
• Establish treatment goals and milestones with patients
• Document treatment plans and progress reports/notes
• Update patient progress to relevant parties
• Research related speech and language problems
• Complete documentation in a timely fashion
• Communicate with and educate families

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in pediatric speech therapy
• Familiarity with communication disorders on caseload
• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Current state and professional license in good standing
• Clean background check
• Good oral and written communication
• Organized
• Attention to detail
• Team oriented
