LussoStay is a fast-growing short-term rental property management company that prioritizes quality, consistency, and guest satisfaction. We manage a portfolio of beautifully maintained homes in Reno and Spark area, and we're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to help keep our properties guest-ready year-round.

Job Summary

As an In-House Maintenance Technician, you'll work on-site across multiple properties, handling repairs, preventive maintenance, and turnover readiness tasks. This is a hands-on role where you'll self-perform the majority of work and use tools like Breezeway to track tasks, updates, and job documentation.

This is a 1099 contractor role (not W-2 employment) with a consistent weekly schedule and a strong potential for long-term partnership.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day maintenance at short-term rental properties
• Complete and close out work orders using Breezeway, including uploading photo proof
• Conduct minor repairs: painting, drywall, light carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance triage
• Handle landscaping, pressure washing, trash/recycle duties, and seasonal tasks (snow, ice, etc.)
• Maintain basic tools, PPE, and spare parts to ensure jobs are completed efficiently
• Communicate ETAs and status updates with the team
• Coordinate with outside vendors when specialty work is required
• Keep properties clean, safe, and guest-ready at all times

Requirements

• Proven experience in general maintenance, repairs, or handy work
• Must be able to work independently and manage time efficiently
• Strong communication and photo documentation skills
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel between properties
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and work as a 1099 contractor

Bonus if You Have:

• Experience in short-term rentals, hospitality, or property management
• Familiarity with smart home tech (locks, cameras, routers)
• HVAC or plumbing certifications (not required)
