Your job as a Packaging Supervisor for Opella Consumer Healthcare involves supervising the Packaging Department Operations to ensure effective daily line operations, to achieve production standards for product quality and quantity.

• Recommends approval of new personnel and provides personnel training as directed by department manager.

• Directs assigned personnel (50 to 100 people which may include material handlers, team leaders, line operators and machine operators) in daily operations.

• Manage day-to-day labor and supply requirements.

• Identify areas for continuous improvement in productivity, cGMP compliance and employee safety.

• Conduct cGMP and safety training on a daily basis for both new and existing employees and contract employees.

• Interviews candidates for open positions and plays a key role in making selections.

• Must have thorough understanding of line operations and equipment to properly train personnel as directed by Plant Manager.

• Supervises hourly personnel and provides assistance in meeting packaging core team objectives.

• Coordinates packaging line changeovers with mechanic supervisor; ensures materials availability for line operations as determined by department schedules.

• Ensures packaging equipment and buildings are properly cleaned and maintained in compliance with department operating standards.

• Coordinates daily scheduling with supporting departments to ensure product availability when needed by department schedule.

• Monitors and maintains personnel LMS training proficiency records. Determines rotation of personnel and training cycles to ensure personnel competence in line operations.
