Overview
We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Worker to join our team, dedicated to ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance tasks on our commercial properties, including mechanical repairs, electrical troubleshooting, plumbing and general facilities maintenance. Your expertise will help create safe, functional, and welcoming environments for our staff. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to the ongoing success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure using schematics and technical manuals.
- Perform electrical repairs and troubleshooting utilizing tools such as ohmmeters and working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) when necessary.
- Carry out welding tasks to repair or fabricate metal components as required.
- Manage facilities maintenance activities including plumbing, HVAC systems, carpentry, and general repairs to ensure operational efficiency.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, maintenance schedules, and inventory levels.
- Supervise or assist in supervising other staff during projects or routine tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and building codes while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
- Lead small teams on maintenance projects when required, demonstrating leadership and effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing environments.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by electrical experience and familiarity with schematics.
- Skilled in welding techniques.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and troubleshooting electrical systems.
- Ability to read schematics, and technical manuals accurately.
- Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for maintenance tracking is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and residents.
- Demonstrating leadership capabilities in managing projects or teams. Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
