Overview
We are a cannabis testing facility seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Laboratory Director to join our team. This leadership role involves overseeing laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting scientific research initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in laboratory techniques, regulatory requirements, and scientific research methodologies to facilitate high-quality laboratory functions and innovative projects.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing daily laboratory operations, ensuring adherence to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), FDA regulations, and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) standards
  • Supervise and coordinate laboratory staff
  • Oversee laboratory procedures, including data collection, analysis, and documentation to maintain accuracy and integrity of results
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements across all laboratory activities
  • Support the development and validation of new laboratory methods and procedures
  • Manage Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data tracking, reporting, and record keeping
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure quality control and regulatory compliance
  • Provide training and mentorship to laboratory personnel on proper techniques, safety standards, and regulatory updates

Requirements

  • Strong background in microbiology, histology, molecular biology, or related fields with demonstrated laboratory techniques proficiency
  • Experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and data analysis tools
  • Excellent understanding of scientific research methodologies and data collection processes
  • Prior clinical laboratory experience is highly desirable
  • Strong analysis skills with attention to detail in maintaining accurate records and reports
  • Effective leadership abilities with experience supervising laboratory teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biological Sciences, or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $47, $56,759.72 per year
