Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Store Manager who is interested in food, beverage, and hospitality. This role is vital in supporting store operations, driving sales, and ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, retail management experience, and the ability to manage daily store functions effectively. This position offers an opportunity to learn and grow within a fast-paced environment while contributing to the overall success of the store.

Duties

  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations
  • Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
  • Supervise and motivate staff as well as provide training and development to cultivate high performance
  • Assist with payroll processing, bookkeeping, and managing store budgets
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly, ensuring exceptional customer service standards are maintained
  • Oversee POS transactions, cash handling, and cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity
  • Coordinate purchasing decisions and manage supplier relationships
  • Implement marketing strategies to promote products and increase store traffic
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and store procedures
  • Support recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates and participating in employee orientation processes

Skills

  • Proven management experience in retail or grocery environments
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills and team management strategies
  • Proficiency in retail math, POS systems, inventory management, and cash handling procedures
  • Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management
  • Experience in employee recruitment, training & development, and performance evaluation
  • Organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Knowledge of marketing techniques, merchandising, stock management, and retail sales strategies
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Administrative experience including bookkeeping, payroll processing, and budgeting
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases

This role requires a motivated individual with a strong background in retail management who is committed to delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining operational excellence. Candidates should demonstrate leadership qualities, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to store management.

Pay: $ $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
