Oxford College Peterborough Campus is seeking to hire a Registered Massage Therapist part-time for its Massage Therapy Program.
SCOPE: This role is vital in supporting student success, fostering a strong community outreach for students ongoing learning while ensuring compliance with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and continue ongoing learning for massage therapy students during clinical placement and outreach events
- Ensure student compliance with professional, ethical and regulatory standards
- Coordinate outreach events and building relationships with community partners along with maintaining any preexisting outreach partnerships
- Provide feedback, evaluation and guidance to support student development
- Collaborate with faculty and program coordinator to support curriculum integration
- Uphold infection prevention, safety protocols, and professional conduct in the clinic environment
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with the CMTO and Ministry standards
Key Responsibilities:
- RMT in good standing with the CMTO
- Minimum 2-5 years clinical experience (educational supervision or teaching experience an asset)
- Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification (Red Cross equivalent)
- Strong communication, leadership and mentoring skills
- Knowledge of CMTO Standard of Practice, Code of Ethics and PHIPA and AODA legislation
- Ability to foster an supportive learning environment while maintaining accountability
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in all types of environments
