Location: Providence, RI, Pawtucket, RI, Central Falls, RI (please note: you may be placed at any of our sites that have openings or be expected to float to other sites)
Reports To: Mental Health and Disabilities Manager
Employment Type: Full-Time hours per week

We are looking for a Behavior Support Specialist who thrives in a dynamic early childhood setting. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a direct impact on the behavioral, social-emotional, and academic growth of young children—especially those with unique challenges and strengths.

What You'll Do:
  • Deliver therapeutic and behavioral interventions, including ABA strategies and de-escalation techniques.
  • Partner with lead teachers to embed individualized plans into daily classroom life.
  • Support children during instruction, play, transitions, dismissal—and every moment in between.
  • Step in during classroom crises with calm, compassionate problem-solving.
  • Track student progress through consistent, accurate documentation.
  • Build positive, trusting relationships with children, families, and fellow educators.
  • Collaborate in a trauma-informed, equity-centered environment.
What You Bring:
  • CDA Required, or associate or bachelors degree. Early Childhood or related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of experience working with preschoolers with behavioral needs required; ABA experience a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and a team mindset.
  • Flexibility, empathy, and a deep belief in the potential of every child.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
