Caledonia Tutor – Elementary All Subjects

RuberuTutor of Haldimand is a growing tutoring centre serving families in Caledonia and the surrounding areas. We offer two streams of learning:

1) A structured worksheet-based program aligned with the Ontario curriculum (similar to the Kumon model)
2) Individualized and small-group tutoring for all subjects and all grade levels, including high school
Our environment is calm, predictable, and supportive. Students come to learn and tutors come to guide them.

Position Overview:
We're looking for a positive, dependable tutor who can support elementary students and optionally high-school students depending on your strengths. You don't need to teach every subject, we will assign students assignments based on your comfort level.
This role is perfect for teachers, EAs, university grads, or retired educators who want flexible evening work and a meaningful connection with local families.

Responsibilities:
*Support students (Grades 1–8) in either structured worksheets or individualized tutoring sessions. The ability to tutor high school students is an asset.
*Provide clear, simple instruction and corrections
*Guide students in math, reading, writing (and/or high-school subjects based on your strengths)
*Maintain a positive, patient atmosphere
*Communicate with the centre manager regarding student progress

Schedule

Evenings, Monday through Saturday
4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
2–6 shifts per week depending on your availability

Work may take place at Saint Andrews Hall or Grace United Church

Qualifications
*OCT-certified teacher, EA, tutor with experience, retired educator, or equivalent
*Familiarity with the Ontario curriculum
*Comfortable supporting small groups (3-to-1) and individualized 1-to-1 students
*Patient, clear communicator, reliable
*Must be able to work in-person in Caledonia

Compensation

$19–$23/hour based on experience and skill
All materials provided
