Job Title: HR Assistant/Front Desk Receptionist
Reports to: HR Manager
Position Summary:
The HR Assistant provides administrative support to the Human Resources Department and it also responsible for the front desk by greeting guests and answering incoming calls.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Attend the front desk during business hours and greet and direct guests in a polite and timely manner.
- Answer and direct incoming calls to appropriate departments.
- Accept and review applications of employment and assist with scheduling interviews with hiring supervisors.
- Assist the HR Manager with Onboarding new employees, including organizing and preparing paperwork, drug testing and training.
- Assist with auditing and filing paperwork.
- Assist with organizing and participating in company events.
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Assist with benefits enrollment.
- Assist with the coordination of Light Duty assignments and workers comp claims.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the HR Manager.
Experience, Educational, and Additional Requirements:
- MInimum 1-year experience as an HR Assistant, or other similar work preferred.
- Must have a general knowledge of state and federal labor laws (i.e., FMLA, ADA, etc.)
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills required.
- Must be comfortable with training and public speaking.
- Operational knowledge of Microsoft Office products required.
- Ability to multitask, and be detail oriented
- Must be able to speak, read, and write both English and Spanish.
- Must be able to lift 25lb.
- Pass mandatory drug test and background check required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $22.00 per hour
