Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and dedicated Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, with experience in fine dining and a strong background in kitchen management. As a Sous Chef, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food production, and maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and service.
Duties
- Assist in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes that meet our restaurant's standards.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient operations.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock levels to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and innovative culinary techniques.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
- Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish served.
- Support catering events as needed, demonstrating flexibility in adapting to various service styles.
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and operational improvements.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a fine dining or upscale restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food production techniques and kitchen management practices.
- Experience with inventory management and control processes to optimize kitchen efficiency.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with dietary department practices is a plus; experience in catering is also beneficial.
- Excellent culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.

Pay: $75, $88,000.00 per year
