Business Development Representative (BDR) – Ad Tech & Digital Commerce

About the Role
We are seeking a high-velocity BDR who understands the dynamics of ad tech, digital retail, and ecommerce platforms. Your mission is to create qualified pipeline by identifying the right accounts, engaging decision-makers, and driving early-stage conversations that convert into sales-ready opportunities. This role blends analytical research, structured outreach, and a deep understanding of how brands, retailers, and marketplaces adopt modern commerce technologies.
What You'll Do
• Identify, research, and segment prospects across retail, ecommerce, and ad tech ecosystems.
• Execute structured outbound sequences across email, LinkedIn, and targeted calls.
• Pre-qualify leads based on ICP fit, technical requirements, and readiness to explore solutions.
• Book high-quality discovery calls for the sales team and support smooth handovers.
• Maintain detailed CRM hygiene, capturing key signals and buying intent.
• Collaborate with marketing to refine messaging, campaigns, and target lists.
• Track pipeline performance and report on lead quality, conversion, and engagement insights.
What We're Looking For
• Proven BDR/SDR experience in ad tech, retail media, martech, or ecommerce SaaS.
• Strong understanding of digital commerce metrics, APIs, and retail media buying patterns.
• Confidence in outbound prospecting across C-level, VP, and Director roles.
• Ability to distill technical concepts into clear, value-driven messaging.
• CRM proficiency (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).
• High resilience, curiosity, and a data-driven approach to testing outreach strategies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Success in This Role Means
• Consistent delivery of high-quality SQLs.
• Maintaining a predictable, well-qualified pipeline.
• Increasing meeting-to-close conversion rates through rigorous qualification.
• Serving as the front line for product positioning within retail, ecommerce, and ad tech.
