About this role Okta is looking for an inspired copywriter to join our Digital Studio team and help us evolve our event-specific digital experiences and websites, including oktane.com. Reporting to our Digital Copy Lead, this person will partner with copywriters, designers, strategists, and internal stakeholders. What you will do * Work closely with the Copy Lead and teams on conceptual ideation, content strategy, copywriting, and execution across digital creative briefs * Work cross-functionally with Brand Strategy, Digital Strategy, Content, Campaigns, Product Marketing, Development, SEO, Web Production, Events, and others to bring event-related storytelling to life on our digital experiences * Collaborate closely with designers and work in Figma to create innovative experiences * Leverage deep industry knowledge and maintain a keen understanding of different audience types to craft compelling copy that converts * Help establish and apply the Okta voice and tone across all work * Roll up your sleeves while bringing creative ideas to life; deliver and receive feedback * Apply systems thinking and understand user journeys and personas * Be a self-starter while working in a collaborative team environment with internal partners, freelancers, agencies, and production partners * Test and iterate when necessary, using analytics SEO considerations to inform strategies and recommendations Your experience * BA or BFA in copywriting or a related field * Digitally oriented portfolio of work * 4-6+ years experience in copywriting with a creative agency or client-side group * Hands-on expertise in developing creative solutions on websites * Extraordinary copywriting skills and strong working knowledge of content strategy * QA experience and attention to detail * Outstanding presentation skills and proven ability to produce and pitch world-class strategic presentations to all levels of an organization * Passion for copywriting, language, and design Nice-to-haves * B2B/tech experience writing for cybersecurity and/or developer audiences * Working knowledge of email marketing best practices Why you are excited about this role * You enjoy cross-collaboration and working closely with multiple teams across marketing, especially UX and visual designers * You love building beautiful, innovative digital experiences that make an impact on customers and prospects * You want to create B2B copy that stands out from the sea of jargon * You never shy from a challenge * You are highly organized and enjoy bringing order to every initiative * You bring positive vibes and a sense of humor to your work Why we are excited about you * You are a creative, inspiring, and positive force of nature * You are always bringing new ideas to the table * You are happy to share your knowledge and insights with other team members * You are an amazing collaborator and communicator * You are proactive and take the initiative to share your ideas * You are accountable and do what you say #LI-Remote Below is the annual base salary range for candidates located in California, Colorado, New York and Washington. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. The annual base salary range for this position for candidates located in California (excluding San Francisco Bay Area), Colorado, New York, and Washington is between:$107,000-$161,000 USD Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada.
