We are looking for a dedicated Material Handler to join our busy warehouse operations in Salt Lake City, Utah. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. You'll ensure materials are moved safely and efficiently throughout the warehouse, supporting various departments. This role requires physical stamina and a commitment to workplace safety. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, and products. Your attention to detail will be critical in maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the smooth flow of goods. This position is key to our overall logistics success, supporting production and shipping needs. The ideal candidate will be reliable, organized, and possess a strong work ethic. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring materials are handled with care.
- Move materials to and from production areas, storage locations, and shipping docks.
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming inventory.
- Accurately count and verify materials against purchase orders and receiving documents.
- Organize and maintain warehouse storage areas for efficiency and safety.
- Perform routine checks on material handling equipment to ensure proper functioning and Safety.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and participate in cycle counts.
- Support the logistics team by ensuring timely and accurate material movement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift certification and experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform tasks involving significant Lifting, often up to 75 pounds.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
