We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing the flow of materials within our warehouse, ensuring efficiency and Safety at all times. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts, loading and unloading freight, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and secure work environment. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to Safe work practices within our logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment proficiently and safely.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with incoming and outgoing goods.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the facility.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock organization.
- Inspect equipment regularly for any defects and report for maintenance.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, and high-visibility vests.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes as needed.
- Must be able to handle moderate to heavy Lifting, up to 60 lbs, regularly.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics team.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Valid forklift certification is required.
- Understanding of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
- Knowledge of Safety procedures for material handling and equipment operation.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding setting.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
