We are looking for a dedicated Distribution Center Associate to join our facility in St. Louis, Missouri. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our warehouse, encompassing a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping goods. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will be an essential part of our logistics chain, ensuring that products move smoothly and accurately through our facility to reach our customers. We value a safe working environment above all else, providing comprehensive training on proper procedures, equipment operation, and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Stock received merchandise in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately pick orders based on pick lists or scanner system prompts.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment according to company standards.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with stock management.
- Load and unload trucks as required.
- Follow all established Safety protocols and procedures.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of our Logistics operations.
- Perform tasks involving consistent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Ensure proper use of all PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate various warehouse equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) – certification may be required.
- Strong understanding of warehouse Safety practices and the use of PPE.
- Excellent physical condition, with the ability to perform heavy Lifting consistently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of Logistics and inventory control principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
