Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and performing cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. A critical part of this role involves adhering to strict safety standards, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following all established safety guidelines. This position requires physical stamina, as it involves considerable lifting, pushing, and pulling of materials throughout the shift. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate material handling equipment, including forklifts.
- Load and unload shipments from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Organize and store inventory in an efficient and orderly manner.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes.
- Perform other material handling duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification or experience operating forklifts and other relevant machinery.
- Ability to handle heavy loads and perform frequent lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
