Join our growing logistics team as an Inventory Clerk in the vibrant city of Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your responsibilities will include performing regular cycle counts, verifying stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that inventory records are up-to-date and precise. We place a high value on safety, requiring all employees to use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhere to all established safety procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management systems. This position requires the ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively within a team. A background in inventory control or warehouse operations is highly beneficial. Your accuracy and diligence will directly contribute to the efficiency of our supply chain and overall customer satisfaction. Some lifting may be involved.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular physical counts of inventory items.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the system.
- Receive and process incoming inventory, verifying quantities and condition.
- Organize stockroom and warehouse for efficient inventory management.
- Prepare reports on inventory levels and adjustments.
- Assist with shipping and receiving as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency with inventory management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
