Founded in College Station in 1994, Layne's has perfected the art of chicken fingers and built a culture that's fun, fast-paced, and team-driven. We're proud to serve our community great food while offering real opportunities to grow, learn leadership skills, and have fun doing it.

We're looking for GREAT people—positive, friendly, and hardworking team players who want to be part of something special.

Position Overview

As a Cashier, you'll be the face of Layne's Chicken Fingers. Your main responsibility is creating an amazing guest experience from the moment they walk in. Every guest should feel like they're attending a party we're hosting just for them.

You'll ensure guests receive their food quickly, have everything they need, and enjoy a clean, welcoming restaurant—all while having fun and being part of Layne's unique, non-corporate culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude

  • Take customer orders accurately and efficiently

  • Deliver excellent customer service and create a memorable guest experience

  • Keep the dining area clean, organized, and welcoming

  • Clean and reset tables for incoming guests

  • Restock condiments and supplies

  • Assist with food prep as needed

  • Work collaboratively with the team in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous fast-food or customer service experience preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Strong communication and people skills

  • Must be at least 16 years of age

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

  • Ability to lift and carry 10–55 lbs

  • Team-oriented, dependable, and positive attitude
