Stoner Motor Company is seeking a motivated and professional
Sales Manager
to lead and inspire our car sales team. This is a rare opportunity to play a pivotal role within a busy and successful dealership, driving performance while developing a high‑performing, customer‑focused sales team.
Working closely with the General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for building structure, momentum, and confidence within the team, ensuring both individual and departmental targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Leading, motivating, and developing the New Car Sales Team to maximise performance
Driving new car sales volumes, profitability, and market share
Coaching and mentoring team members to achieve individual and collective targets
Ensuring outstanding customer satisfaction to encourage repeat and referral business
Managing sales processes, compliance, and manufacturer standards
Handling conflicting priorities in a fast‑paced dealership environment
Monitoring performance, reporting results, and implementing improvement plans
Supporting recruitment, training, and performance management within the department
Qualifications & Experience Skills and Attributes
Confident, professional, and inspirational leadership style
Strong organisational and time‑management skills
Results‑driven with a proactive and hands‑on approach
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Passionate about delivering an exceptional customer journey
Able to motivate, mentor, and develop others
Experience Required
Proven management experience within the motor industry
Strong background in retail automotive sales
Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
Experience managing conflicting demands in a high‑pressure environment
Sound understanding of all areas of the new car sales department
