*Job Overview*
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will assess, plan, and implement personalized therapy programs to enhance patients' functional abilities and improve their quality of life. Whether working in inpatient settings, outpatient clinics, schools, or home health environments, you will play a key role in supporting individuals across all ages and needs. Your expertise will help clients regain independence, manage disabilities, and achieve their personal goals through tailored therapeutic interventions.
*Responsibilities*
* Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning to identify their unique needs and goals.
* Develop detailed care plans that incorporate evidence-based occupational therapy techniques to promote recovery and independence.
* Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility tasks.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transitions across care settings.
* Work with diverse populations such as children with autism or developmental delays, geriatrics, individuals in acute care or ICU settings, and those requiring post-acute or skilled nursing facility care.
* Implement therapy interventions in various environments including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, schools, home health visits, or skilled nursing facilities.
* Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress, care plans, and case management records while adhering to medical terminology and anatomy knowledge standards.
*Skills*
* Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to occupational therapy practice.
* Experience assisting with ADLs and discharge planning across multiple settings such as inpatient hospitals, outpatient clinics, or home health.
* Proven ability working with people with disabilities—including autism spectrum disorder—and providing early intervention services.
* Skilled in case management to coordinate comprehensive care plans for diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics.
* Knowledge of occupational health principles applicable to workplace injury prevention and rehabilitation.
* Familiarity with speech therapy concepts when collaborating on multidisciplinary treatment plans.
* Ability to work effectively in acute care environments such as ICU or hospital wards and skilled nursing facilities. Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
