What You Will Do As a Senior Backend Developer you will build the server‑side foundations of new casino gaming projects. You will design, develop, and optimize the company’s Casino Game Server, Game Engines, Game APIs, and supporting tools while collaborating closely with game producers, mathematicians, and front‑end developers.
Summary of Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain back‑end functionality for high‑volume transaction systems.
Develop game engines and tools for the Casino Remote Game Server (RGS) from complex math models to programming logic.
Enhance and maintain existing gaming APIs and game engines; support front‑end developers.
Analyze, design, implement, and support all phases of the application development lifecycle.
Work closely with interfaces such as Game Producers, Mathematicians, Statisticians, Front‑end game developers, and QA.
Coordinate quality assurance, certification, and translation processes of the games.
Research, play, and study casino games to stay up‑to‑date with market trends and competition.
Perform other tasks as required.
What You'll Need to Have
Strong track record of developing and maintaining casino game engines and producing impactful slot games.
Excellent knowledge of Java.
Minimum six years of experience in related domains.
Experience with client‑server integrations, multithreading, and microservice design.
Experience working with MongoDB, relational and/or NoSQL databases.
Solid knowledge of Object‑Oriented Programming, MVC, and other design principles.
Experience with JIRA and other project tracking tools.
Familiarity with Git and feature‑branching approach.
Highly organised and experienced in running multiple projects and delivering to tight deadlines.
Passionate about making a difference in the iGaming industry.
Knowledge of game development pipelines and methodologies.
Knowledge of the casino industry and current market landscape.
Experience working with multiple disciplines to create games or products.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Contributing to the review of other developers’ games and code.
Contributing to the evolution of the team’s processes and best practices.
