Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care my mother. This role involves specialized care, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience atleast 1 month as home support worker and possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives. Support Workers play a vital role in delivering personalized care, supporting daily activities, and fostering independence for those in need.
Responsibilities
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications following prescribed protocols and maintain accurate medication records
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, promoting mental well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Support patients with mobility challenges through proper lifting techniques and assistive devices
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or case managers
- Assist with medical procedures under supervision, utilizing knowledge of medical terminology and caregiving best practices
- Support clients with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized communication techniques
- Document care provided accurately in compliance with organizational policies
Qualifications
- 1 month experience as support home worker for female senior is highly preferred
- First Aide and CPR certificste and food safe training.
- Ability to administer medications safely and understand medical terminology
- Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely when required
- Experience in meal preparation and basic cleaning duties is advantageous
- Certification or training in caregiving or medical assistance is a plus but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate attitude focused on enhancing the quality of life for clients
