Job Summary

As a Project Manager, you will oversee client interactions, focusing on long-term planning, high-value enhancement services, and client retention. You will manage annual renewals, increases, and enhancement projects to ensure strong customer relationships and business growth.

Qualifications

Education & Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction/Project Management, or related field; or 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong knowledge of regional plant life

Field Experience

  • 3+ years of verifiable field experience in project estimating or design-build work
  • Strong estimation background with working knowledge of construction, installation, and irrigation systems
  • Familiarity with commercial landscape equipment and functions

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong customer service and communication skills (internal & external)
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform under deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, document management, and cost forecasting
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans/drawings
  • Experience collaborating with property managers, vendors, consultants, and architects
  • Strong organizational and presentation skills
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software
  • Experience with design software (Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, ProLandscape) preferred

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver's license (required)
  • PMP certification preferred

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for high-level site and project issues, addressing and resolving client needs quickly
  • Serve as liaison between operations and clients, ensuring clear communication and expectations
  • Conduct site walkthroughs and develop landscape asset management plans
  • Build knowledge of client businesses, organizations, and goals
  • Collaborate with Area Managers to maintain a holistic view of client sites
  • Manage project scope, budget, and timeline, ensuring quality and safety standards
  • Prepare bids, designs, renderings, and job costing reports
  • Meet or exceed annual sales and enhancement goals
  • Develop strong vendor and subcontractor relationships to ensure accountability and value
  • Ensure compliance with safety practices, training, and jobsite monitoring

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • May manage multiple Enhancement Crews

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, see, sit, stand, and walk
  • Frequent use of hands; occasional reaching, bending, twisting, or lifting (up to 75 lbs.)
  • Work performed both in office settings and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Exposure to mechanical equipment, loud noise, fumes, and chemicals may occur

Compensation

  • Annual salary $75k+ and is contingent on experience
  • 1%–2% commission on ancillary gross margin sales
