Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation, menu planning, and kitchen operations to deliver exceptional dining experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase culinary creativity and contribute to a vibrant food service environment, whether in a fine dining setting or catering operation. The Chef will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and presentation.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
  • Plan menus that meet dietary requirements and customer preferences
  • Oversee food preparation processes, ensuring efficiency and quality control
  • Maintain proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures in compliance with safety standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including training on knife skills, food safety, and proper cooking techniques
  • Coordinate with suppliers for ingredient procurement and inventory management
  • Assist with catering events and special functions as needed
  • Ensure all food served is presented attractively and meets quality standards
  • Uphold cleanliness and organization within the kitchen environment at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in food industry roles such as culinary experience, restaurant experience, or dietary aide roles
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques
  • Expertise in menu planning, meal preparation, cooking, and food presentation
  • Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods
  • Experience with fine dining service or catering is highly desirable
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and safety
  • Previous experience working in dietary departments or with dietary restrictions is a plus
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is preferred but not required

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
