Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager - Restaurant to lead our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety, and maintaining excellent customer service standards in a fast-paced environment. The General Manager will play a key role in driving the restaurant's success through effective management of resources, staff training, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including food preparation, service quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure high performance and team cohesion
  • Supervise kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain efficient workflow and exceptional service standards
  • Monitor inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food costs to optimize profitability
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Handle cash management, POS transactions (Aloha POS, Micros POS), and daily financial reporting
  • Implement policies for quality control, customer service, and operational procedures
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a skilled team
  • Lead shift management to ensure smooth operations during peak hours
  • Coordinate catering, banquets, or special events as needed
  • Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality management roles with supervising responsibilities
  • Extensive knowledge of food industry operations including food safety standards, food handling, and culinary processes
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training & development and team management
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for cash handling and sales tracking
  • Experience in managing budgets, inventory control, and food production costs
  • Background in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments; fine dining or hotel experience is a plus
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with experience in interviewing and training staff
  • Knowledge of kitchen management including food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
  • Leadership qualities that inspire staff engagement and operational excellence

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55, $65,000.00 per year
