The Associate Advisor is a mid-senior level position with a high level of client interaction that provides technical and client service support for Partners and clients. The primary function of this role is to be heavily involved in the planning process and support of clients but does not have direct sales responsibilities. Instead, the role of an Associate Advisor is to be involved throughout the process of onboarding new clients and bringing the recommendations from review meetings to life. Additionally, the Associate Advisor is responsible for being able to document and implement the plans and act as a liaison for Partners in fielding calls and proactively communicating with clients on any and all issues of concern.
Job Responsibilities / Principal Responsibilities
Support Lead Advisors deliver exceptional client support by understanding the recommendations outlined in review meetings and effectively delegating to appropriate service team members while also providing answers to clients
Manage consistent onboarding process of new clients
Become intimately familiar with each client's financial circumstances, needs and, objectives
Obtain deep understanding of Lume Capital's planning philosophy and be able to make recommendations for planning solutions while becoming a trusted source of information for both clients and team members
Contribute to full range of financial planning areas (including cash flow management, debt management, retirement planning, estate plan review, insurance evaluation, etc.)
Serve as the principal contact for client relationships and provide support in interim of reviews with Lead Advisors
Make critical client decisions such as creating, preparing, reviewing, and presenting financial plans
Leads the implementation of planning decisions, assigning client service steps to the planning, operations, and portfolio team
Continually review for process improvement opportunities
Responsible for quality control of client deliverables such as plans, analysis, and presentations
Manages a client base and communicates consistently and proactively with clients to identify changes in their financial lives/needs that should be met
Strong communicator with the ability to educate on core products and concepts
Provides consistent and constructive feedback to service team and other team members
May lead projects that improve operational or management processes in the firm ex.) a project to improve onboarding experience for clients
Prepare client review materials (data gathering, financial plan and scenario modeling, presentation development, etc.) and other client deliverables for review meetings, as necessary
Prepare charts, graphs, tables, and other visual aids to be used in implementation meetings with clients
Provide support for comprehensive financial planning clients by gathering data, developing financial plan analysis, packaging, and posting meeting materials, and managing meeting notes and action items
Prepare and modify investment proposals for new and existing clients
Follow-up on client meeting by processing Advisor notes to translate and delegate into action
Ability to participate in client meetings in an advice or decision-making capacity.
Document actions through client database
Position Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Required 1-5 years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, insurance, or related field
Insurance licensing: Ohio Life & Health or obtained within 6 weeks of hire
Securities licensing: SIE, Series 7, & Series 63 or obtained within 9 months of hire
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Knowledge of financial planning regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices preferred
Detail-oriented, accurate, organized, able to set priorities autonomously
Extremely strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
Microsoft 365 proficiency (Excel, CRM, etc.)
Additional Requirements
Pass an extensive FINRA background screening which may include, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), credit check, education verification, drug tests, skills assessments, interviews, and personality profile (behavioral assessment)
Must be at least 21 years of age or older
Legal authorized to work in the United States
Pay: $50, $80,000.00 per year
