Controller

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $170,000 to $190,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities

• Direct and manage daily accounting operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Oversee the monthly close process, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and performance reports.
• Monitor cash flow and manage liquidity to support business needs.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and oversee timely filings.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in construction accounting and financial management.
• Strong knowledge of work-in-progress schedules and percentage-of-completion methods.
• Ability to lead and mentor accounting teams effectively.
• Skilled in identifying and implementing process improvements and automation.
• Proficiency with Vista Viewpoint or similar construction accounting software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA designation.
• A minimum of 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles.
• In-depth understanding of revenue recognition principles and GAAP standards.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reporting.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with executive leadership.
