Chenega Advanced Solutions and Intelligence Services, LLC (CASIS), is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Chenega Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) headquartered in Anchorage, Alaska. CASIS is an 8(a), ANC-Owned, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) headquartered in Sierra Vista, AZ. We are a professional services provider specializing in the delivery of Intelligence Operations and Cyber Support Services to the Department of Defense (DoD) & other agencies within the U.S. Government (USG).

CASIS is a part of Chenega Corporation's Military, Intelligence, and Operations Support (MIOS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU). The SBU operates as a leveraged services model that increases the depth & scalability of our support staff while reducing costs to our customers. Chenega MIOS has over 1,700 employees located across the United States & internationally, with experience that includes management of contracts valued at $2 Billion that provide services to large federal agencies.

The
Network Administrator
shall provide administration, configuration, operations, and maintenance services for the Fort Carson Network Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze LAN utilization statistics through data collection and performance measures of classified and unclassified networks.
  • Operate and maintain the network architecture for both NIPRNET and SIPRNET AITSC classification domains.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and fine-tune components such as switches, routers, encryption devices, wireless controllers, antennas and access points, antennas, firewalls, and VPN concentrators within the overall network connectivity. Operate and maintain the Layer 3 and Layer 2 environment with knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Air Fortress, and TACLANE operating platforms.
  • Monitor and maintain operational capability and security standards on network management systems, including Tivoli Netcool, Info Vista, BMC True Sight Automation for Networks, Ribbon Call Controllers, Cisco Prime, Cisco Digital Networking Architecture Center, Cisco Identity Services Engine, Juniper JUNOS Space, Cisco Security Manager, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers, and other related NMS operating systems.
  • Monitor operation of the WLAN, LAN, and WAN, ensuring hardware and network operating software are functioning properly and that operational standards are met.
  • Perform function tests of system components to identify and resolve technical problems, analyze system malfunctions, implement necessary corrective actions, and provide ongoing support for the resolution of complex problems and operating malfunctions.
  • Perform system backups to ensure expedient restoration of the database for the respective network equipment.
  • Configure, monitor, install, patch, and harden network systems according to DoD security directives.
  • Develop documentation to assist the government with best business practices and standard operating procedures for supported technologies and system deployments.
  • Comply with plans, policies, standards, infrastructures, and architectures of DOD and DA IT Management and IT programs.
  • Perform and maintain security remediation, IAVAs, STIG requirements, etc. All IAVAs, STIGs, etc., will be considered high priorities and shall be completed within the timelines assigned.
  • Review, validate information, and perform corrections as needed for all checklists and controls referring to CORA and RMF quarterly.
  • Configure, troubleshoot, and analyze technologies such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS/VPLS, spanning tree protocols, e.g., MSTP, RSTP, PVST, Multicast, 802.1x, 802.11, 802.16, IPSEC, VPN, DMVPN, SDN, VRRP/HSRP, RADIUS, TACACS, SNMP, Link Aggregation, Q-in-Q Tunneling, QoS, VoIP, VTC, and similar network technologies.
  • Provide or extend network connectivity within the guidelines of the AITSC to a location within Fort Carson W-RNEC and LNECs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' experience OR
  • High school diploma or GED and 4+ years' experience
  • Current CompTIA Security + CE certificate
  • The candidate shall acquire and maintain at least one (1) of the following certifications within 6 months of employment:

  • Juniper Network Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA).

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification

  • Secret clearance with T3 Security Investigation.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Ensure technical coverage across key areas: network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) to support infrastructure needs.
  • Integrate troubleshooting and security management into risk mitigation and operational continuity plans.
  • Include hardware/software installation and maintenance in scope planning and resource scheduling.
  • Require thorough documentation of network configurations to support knowledge
