As an Optometric Tech in Training, you'll serve as the doctor's right hand—conducting pre-tests, gathering vital health information, and ensuring every patient is prepped for an exceptional experience. It's technical. It's fast-paced. And it's meaningful work that makes a lasting impact.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Perform pre-tests and diagnostic procedures with accuracy and efficiency.

• Collect and document patient medical histories and current health information.

• Communicate effectively with doctors and help manage clinic flow.

• Maintain clean, functional equipment for a seamless patient experience.

• Assist with insurance verification, eligibility checks, and benefit authorizations.

• Stay current with training and actively work to grow your skills.

• Starting Pay: $17.00/hour base

o At 30 Days: Eligibility to complete Tavel Technician Certification $1.50/hour raise

• Bilingual Pay Eligibility: fluency in another language, increase to base pay below:

o Spanish, ASL, or French Creole +$0.50/hour & Burmese +$1.00/hour

• You must attend a mandatory two-week paid training (no absences)—this is where your journey starts, and we invest heavily in making sure you're set up for success

• Prior medical, clinical, or pharmacy experience is helpful, but not required—we hire for attitude, teach for skill

• You'll work some Saturdays—because our patients need us then too
