Manufacturing Continuous Improvement Engineer

This position resides in ifm prover USA, which is our technical center in Malvern, PA. Our site designs and manufactures temperature and flow sensor products. This is a "hands-on" role where you will be an active enabler of our state-of-the-art Lean Manufacturing process.

• Master our lean manufacturing tools, including: standard work, standard condition, process-at-a-glance, fishbone analysis, poka-yoke and others.
• Use the above tools to troubleshoot and resolve any product, process, or equipment issues that prevent us from achieving our goal of "one piece flow" and "effortless and guaranteed".
• Identify and drive continuous improvement projects that improve our safety, quality, delivery, and/or costs.
• As a Lean Manufacturing disciple, hold the organization accountable for a "dock-to-dock" mentality of material flow from receiving, through production, and out the shipping door.
• Maintain effective relationships with our Manufacturing Team and international colleagues so they can assist you in our continuous improvement journey.
• Maintain effective relationships with key outside vendors to deliver the most optimal stock and custom equipment for our process.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' experience as a hands-on manufacturing engineer in the field of electro-mechanical products.
• Self-disciplined and self-driven with a proven record of driving projects to completion.
• Collaborative Team Member who can build effective relationships.
• 3D modeling experience, such as SolidWorks.
• Work experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of our international organization.
• Attention to detail; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to acquire new skills and grow with the company.
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
