Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Grant Writer to join our team and drive our mission of affordable housing forward through compelling funding proposals. As a vital member of our development team, you will craft persuasive grant proposals, manage grant-related documentation, and support strategic fundraising initiatives. Your expertise will help secure vital resources to expand programs, enhance services, and achieve organizational goals. Duties
- Research potential funding sources, including foundations, government agencies, and corporate donors, to identify opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
- Develop grant proposals by articulating program objectives, activities, outcomes, and budget requirements.
- Collaborate with program staff to gather necessary data, success stories, and evidence to strengthen proposals.
- Manage the grant application process from initial research through submission, ensuring all deadlines are met with high-quality documentation.
- Track funding opportunities, application statuses, and donor information.
- Monitor grant compliance to ensure adherence to funder requirements.
- Prepare reports on grant progress and outcomes for internal review and external reporting purposes.
- Develop strategies for sustainable fundraising efforts by supporting strategic planning initiatives and cultivating relationships with potential funders.
Experience
- Proven experience in grant proposal writing for nonprofit or similar organizations with a track record of successful funding acquisition.
- Strong research skills to identify new funding opportunities across diverse sectors.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive technical writing tailored to various audiences.
- Ability to develop financial reports and budgets that align with organizational goals.
- Knowledge of fundraising strategies combined with strategic planning capabilities to support long-term sustainability efforts.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
