Job Summary
Pain and Palliative Associates is excited to announce the opening of our new outpatient palliative care clinic in Gilbert, Arizona. This clinic is an extension of an established, physician- and family-owned practice with a strong reputation for compassionate, patient-centered care.
We are seeking a Front Office team member or Medical Assistant (MA preferred, but not required) to join our growing practice. This position will begin as part-time, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time role as the clinic becomes busier. For the right candidate, full-time may be considered from the start.

Duties
- Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out processes efficiently and professionally
- Assist with patient intake, including collecting vital signs and updating medical histories
- Support clinical staff with procedures such as administering medications, taking X-rays, and recording vital signs
- Utilize EHR systems for documentation, ICD coding, and maintaining accurate patient records
- Prepare examination rooms and assist with basic diagnostic procedures in various specialties including dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine
- Coordinate appointments and follow-up schedules to optimize clinic flow
- Provide patient education on treatments, medication instructions, and procedural preparations
- Support hospital or outpatient clinic operations by assisting with inpatient or outpatient care as needed
- Maintain compliance with safety protocols including basic life support procedures and infection control standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical administrative support or clinical assisting within hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration
- Experience working in specialized settings such as Level I or Level II trauma centers, PICU, OR environments, or Geriatrics is a plus
- Familiarity with EHR systems and proficiency in managing patient data accurately
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred but not required
- Prior hospital experience or clinic experience in palliative care highly desirable
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 per week
