Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including inpatient facilities. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, playing a crucial role in patient assessment, care planning, and implementation of treatment plans. This position requires strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
Duties
- Administer medications and perform IV infusions as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Assist in emergency medicine situations, providing immediate care to patients in critical conditions.
- Conduct medical imaging procedures as needed and assist with interpreting results.
- Utilize knowledge of physiology to assess patient conditions and respond appropriately.
- Provide acute care for patients with varying medical needs, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Perform catheterization and manage urinary catheters for patients requiring this intervention.
- Support inpatient care by monitoring vital signs, documenting patient progress, and reporting changes to the healthcare team.
- Implement tube feeding protocols for patients who are unable to eat orally, ensuring proper nutrition is maintained.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities, coding procedures, and treatment outcomes.
Requirements
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice.
- Strong clinical skills with experience in IV infusion and emergency medicine preferred.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques is a plus.
- Understanding of physiology and acute care practices is essential.
- Ability to catheterize patients effectively and compassionately.
- Experience in inpatient settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with coding practices related to nursing documentation is beneficial.
- Proficient in tube feeding administration techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
