Manufacturing Technician/Engineer
Cardinal Brush Corp. is looking for a Manufacturing Technician, Manufacturing Engineer or Project Engineer to oversee new product development, process improvement and project management. We are a small, family-owned and growing business. Job Summary
This person will wear multiple hats in working with Production and Sales to develop new products from concept to finished and to manage projects from start to finish. A hands on approach and a good mechanical skillset will be necessary. Leading by example, effectively communicating with employees and between departments, and being able to multi-task are critical traits.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work effectively with all departments to achieve company objectives.
- Work directly with various types of manufacturing equipment, supporting both routine
production needs and improvement initiatives. - Collaborate with all departments to drive projects from conception to completion.
- Assist with process improvement to ensure operational efficiency, product quality and
workplace safety. - Develop documentation, training materials and best practices to support current and
long range manufacturing. - Support secondary equipment planning and purchases.
- Work with outside vendors to develop tooling and parts to support production and
product development. - Communicate with all departments and provide technical support to identify problems
and develop corrective actions following issues with equipment, products or processes. - Develop/maintain documentation of production processes - SOP's, test procedures and
QC records. - Oversee our preventative maintenance program.
- Enforce company policies and safety guidelines.
Position Requirements:
- Minimum 2 year degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Technology,
Engineering Technology or 4 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates effective time management, organizational and problem solving abilities
with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, identify and address
problems, meet deadlines and stay within budget.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs along with Project Management software/tools.
- 2D and 3D CAD design experience, AutoCAD and SolidWorks preferred.
- Comfortable getting your hands dirty working on the production floor.
- Leadership experience.
- Reliable, self-motivated and results-driven.
- Willing to work extra hours as circumstances require.
