HHA Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, toileting, and dressing
• Provide companionship and engage residents in meaningful leisure and recreational activities
• Assist residents with ambulation, transfers, and exercise
• Assist with medication administration under the direction and supervision of the RN
• Accurately document medication administration in the Electronic Medication Administration Record (EMAR)
• Report any changes in resident condition to the RN promptly
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry

HHA Qualifications

• At least 6 months of caregiving experience preferred
• Active on the MN CNA Registry OR documentation of having taken the CNA 75-hour course required
• Must be at least 18 years old
