Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong background in various cooking techniques. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met, and contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.

Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
• Assist with menu planning and ingredient sourcing to ensure quality and freshness
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
• Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
• Support kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure timely service
• Assist with plating and presentation of dishes to meet aesthetic standards
• Follow all health and safety guidelines related to food service and sanitation
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant settings
• Strong knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Experience with menu planning, catering, or fine dining environments is a plus
• Understanding of the food industry and culinary practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
• Understanding of food allergies and how to avoid while cooking is helpful
• Knowledge of food service, serving, and kitchen operations enhances performance in this role

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
