Phlebotomy Supervisor

The Laboratory Phlebotomy Supervisor oversees the phlebotomy department, ensuring the efficient and safe collection of blood samples while maintaining high standards of patient care and laboratory protocols. This role includes supervising phlebotomists, training staff, managing workflows, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The supervisor collaborates with laboratory management and healthcare professionals to optimize processes and enhance patient experience.

Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum five years of experience as a phlebotomist.
• Minimum two years in a leadership role.

License Requirements:

• Certified in phlebotomy or other lab related discipline.

Skill Requirements:

• Strong communication skills. Accurate performance and collection of tests while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Reasoning ability and good independent judgment.
• Strong organizational and computer skills.
