Our rapidly growing logistics operation in Boise, Idaho, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator. If you possess a valid forklift certification and a strong commitment to Safety, we want to hear from you! As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, relocating inventory, and staging goods for shipment. This role is critical to our daily operations, ensuring the smooth flow of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. We emphasize rigorous Safety training and expect all employees to wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow strict protocols. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Conduct pre-operation forklift inspections and report any issues.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Stage materials for shipping and receiving operations.
- Adhere to all Safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures.
- Ensure proper Lifting techniques are used when handling items manually.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
- Wear all required PPE at all times, including safety shoes and high-visibility clothing.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and material handling best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of Safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Willingness to wear PPE and follow all Safety guidelines.
