Job Summary:
Our San Antonio, Texas distribution center is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to ensure the efficient and safe movement of goods. In this critical role, you will operate forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials within the warehouse. Your precision and adherence to safety standards are paramount to maintaining our operational flow and supporting our logistics team. If you have proven experience with forklifts and a dedication to a safe working environment, we want to hear from you. This position is essential for managing inventory and facilitating timely shipments.
Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials throughout the warehouse.
  • Load and unload pallets, cartons, and other materials from trucks and trailers.
  • Transport materials to and from designated storage areas, ensuring proper placement and organization.
  • Conduct daily inspections of forklifts, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
  • Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and stock rotation.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including proper Lifting techniques and the correct use of PPE.
  • Coordinate with shipping and receiving departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient logistics.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Valid forklift certification or license.
  • Demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
  • Thorough understanding of forklift safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and scanning devices is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of Logistics operations.
  • Willingness to wear all required PPE.
