We are seeking a diligent Inventory Clerk to join our team in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, which is fundamental to our logistics and supply chain operations. Your primary responsibilities will include performing cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, updating inventory records, and assisting with stockroom organization. You will work closely with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and efficient product flow. A strong focus on Safety and adherence to all warehouse protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and proficiency in using inventory management systems. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular physical counts and cycle counts of inventory.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Assist with organizing and managing stock within the warehouse.
- Support receiving and shipping departments with inventory-related tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Generate inventory reports as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in inventory control or a similar role within logistics.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate physical exertion, including some Lifting.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and proper use of PPE.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree is a plus.
