We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to join our growing logistics team in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse locations to fulfill customer orders. Your primary goal is to ensure the correct products are picked efficiently and prepared for shipment. This position requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work productively in a dynamic warehouse setting. You will utilize scanning technology to manage inventory and track order progress. Safety is a core value, and adherence to all safety protocols is mandatory. This role involves physical activity and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of performance.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Locate products within the warehouse according to assigned locations.
- Verify picked items against order documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Package items appropriately for safe transit, as needed.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Report any stock discrepancies or issues to a supervisor promptly.
- Meet or exceed picking productivity targets.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including walking, bending, and reaching.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Understanding of basic logistics principles is beneficial.
- Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment.
