Join our dynamic logistics team as a Material Handler in Richmond, Virginia! This role is essential for managing the flow of goods within our warehouse. You will be responsible for moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all tasks. Responsibilities:
- Move and organize materials within the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper handling of all goods.
- Assist in inventory management, including stock counts and location verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards.
- Inspect materials for damage and report any discrepancies.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support the logistics team with various warehouse tasks as needed.
- Contribute to efficient workflow and operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a material handler or warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of materials, up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics.
- Strong emphasis on Safety and hazard awareness.
- Ability to work effectively in a physically demanding environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
