We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team in the bustling environment of New York City, New York. In this essential role, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe movement of materials throughout our facility. Your duties will include receiving, storing, and distributing goods, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established procedures. This position is fundamental to our Logistics operations, demanding a strong focus on Safety and precision.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory and materials.
- Pick, pack, and stage items for outgoing shipments or internal transfers.
- Operate manual and powered material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and conduct regular cycle checks.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards, following Safety protocols.
- Ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with company policies and Safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with loading and unloading of trucks, which requires considerable Lifting.
- Support the smooth functioning of our Logistics network.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a Material Handler or warehouse capacity.
- Proficiency in using pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining a high standard of workplace Safety.
- Ability to perform frequent and demanding Lifting tasks.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic Logistics principles and inventory control.
