A skilled Forklift Operator is needed for our Madison, Wisconsin distribution center. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to manage the flow of goods within our logistics facility. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, and transporting materials to various departments. We are seeking experienced operators who prioritize safety and have a keen eye for detail. A thorough understanding of warehouse operations and compliance with all safety regulations, including the use of PPE, is mandatory. This position offers a stable work environment and the chance to be part of a dedicated team. We provide ongoing training to ensure you stay up-to-date with the latest safety standards and operational procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Place and retrieve inventory from designated storage locations.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through systematic movement.
- Adhere to all company safety standards and procedures, including the mandated use of PPE.
- Report any safety hazards or operational issues promptly.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel.
- Follow guidelines for manual lifting and material handling when necessary.
Qualifications:
Certified Forklift Operator with demonstrated experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong knowledge of warehouse logistics and safety procedures. Excellent motor skills and awareness. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to following all safety rules and wearing required PPE is essential.
