We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. As a Warehouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our facility, contributing to efficient logistics and inventory management. This position involves a variety of tasks, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and preparing shipments. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and stock inventory.
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently according to customer specifications.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (if certified) and pallet jacks.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring safe handling of all goods.
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse floor, shelves, and common areas.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counting.
- Follow all established safety procedures and protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with shipping preparation, including labeling and staging of outgoing orders.
- Contribute to a safe and productive logistics environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for long periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
