Are you a skilled and certified Forklift Operator? We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Chicago, Illinois warehouse team. In this critical role, you will operate forklifts and other heavy machinery to move, load, unload, and organize materials within the distribution center. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods, contributing directly to our Logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, excellent spatial awareness, and a strong commitment to adhering to all Safety guidelines. We provide comprehensive training and the necessary PPE to ensure your well-being on the job. This is an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, essential industry.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other industrial trucks to transport materials.
- Load and unload pallets and other materials from trucks and into storage.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and Safety.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and organizing stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Ability to perform duties involving significant Lifting and manual dexterity.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Familiarity with Logistics and inventory management principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be willing and able to wear required PPE.
