Are you a proven leader with extensive warehouse experience? We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee operations at our Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility. This leadership role is responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient workflow, and maintaining high standards of productivity, accuracy, and safety. You will be instrumental in coordinating daily activities, optimizing warehouse layout, and implementing best practices in logistics management. Your responsibilities will include training staff, enforcing safety policies, managing inventory, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. A strong focus on safety, including the proper use of PPE, adherence to safe lifting protocols, and a commitment to accident prevention, is essential. This is a critical position for our supply chain success.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily activities of warehouse staff, including scheduling and performance monitoring.
- Ensure all warehouse operations are conducted efficiently and safely, meeting productivity targets.
- Implement and enforce all safety regulations, ensuring proper use of PPE and safe lifting techniques.
- Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and stock accuracy.
- Coordinate receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations.
- Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics flow.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and incidents.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent understanding of safety procedures, including PPE and safe lifting practices.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; further education is a plus.
- Commitment to fostering a safe work culture.
